A new and charming surf pop track was released by Swiss Portrait, the Scottish artist stuns again on ‘All I Want’. The single is the second from the upcoming EP, ‘The Crippling Pain Of Happiness’, and lyrically discovers how to deal with trauma and stress, masked by a subtly upbeat soundscape. Its sweet and warm vocals and hazy, almost angelic sound, make for a relaxing listen.
‘All I Want’ is unhurried, a welcome breather from the busy and never-pausing rhythm of everyday life. Swiss Portrait, also known as Michael Kay Terence, has been releasing these romantic alt pop sounds since he first started releasing music, his journey starting in lockdown, and in solitude. He takes on a DIY approach which has proven to be successful, with lots of heads within the Scottish music scene now having turned towards him. Rightly so.
