Azu Yeché – Broken Circle

One of our favourite London-based artists is back with the release of a golden oldie from their collective of soul pop songs. ‘Broken Circle’ is the latest release by Azu Yeché, a warm and colourful new release with beautiful vocals, choir-like harmonies and a worldly soundscape. The single comes after Azu supported platinum selling soul singer Lemar only a few months ago.

Its contemporary soul production is courtesy of Fred Cox who previously worked with Janelle Monae, James Morrison and others and shows Azu in top form vocally as well as lyrically. ‘Broken Circle’ builds on a both uplifting and melancholic sound and is simply irresistible. About ‘Broken Circle’, Azu says: “I’ve had this song for a while now but recorded it during the first lockdown. It’s mostly about recognising a situation that’s not good for you and making a conscious decision to walk away from it.”

Those in and around London are lucky enough to be able to catch Azu Yeché live at The Green Note Camden for the final date of his three month residency on the 22nd of June, his upcoming EP ‘Soul Afrikanah Pt II’ is due for release on the 21st of July!
