Bear’s Den – Helen Of Hammersmith Bridge
Bear’s Den have just released their new EP ‘First Loves’, and on it stands out single ‘Helen Of Hammersmith Bridge’. The song is a soft and subtle, fragile pop song with beautiful vocals and warm string play. The single and EP contemplate some of turmoil that can come with falling in love, yet its sound is calm and almost tranquil. A beautiful and poetic contrast.
Limón Limón x Poulish Kid – CALL NOW BUY NOW
This funky and electro rock-inspired new track has been stuck in my head since I first hear it, Limón Limón worked together with Poulish Kid which brought us a refreshing and rather different, eclectic sound that is uplifting, colourful and shimmering! ‘CALL NOW BUY NOW’ is about society’s endless thirst for material objects, it’s catchy and cheeky and filled with crunchy guitar riffs!
‘Landscape’ is the new indie pop summer anthem by Droeloe and Banji, filled with guitar riffs and grand uplifting synths. This feel-good collaboration with the Dutch indie four-piece pushes boundaries and genre limitations and blends elements of drum and bass with thumping indie pop and we’re totally here for it!
A Days Wait – Indelible (feat. Lisa)
Ontario-based nostalgic synth pop outfit A Days Wait have recently released a collaboration with Lisa, single ‘Indelible’. The song is about the people that come into your life and leave an indelible mark, all proceeds from the project are going to charity. The duo have been making music together since early high school and started A Days Wait in 2020. This one is an uplifting and hazy new summer soundtrack, perfect for upcoming holidays and music-fueled roadtrips!
Decrepit Youths – Loose Ends
It is loud, thick, thumping and completely distorted, it’s Decrepit Youths’ latest single ‘Loose Ends’. With a heavy Bring Me The Horizon and Green Day-inspired sound the band is bringing heavy punk rock back to their local scene. An overall grand soundscape is strengthened by harmonious vocals, ‘Loose Ends’ is an interesting listen from beginning until the end!
Durry – Coming of Age
A festive and upbeat, bright new alternative pop rock song was released by alternative pop outfit Durry. Their latest is called ‘Coming of Age’ and it is a hard-hitter especially for fans of The Kooks and The Wombats. Classically indie, uplifting and undeniably catchy, ‘Coming of Age’ even comes with a fitting music video, yeah… “We’ll be okay!”
Cosmo Blue – Sweet Moments
Your new and warm alt pop favourite will be Cosmo Blue’s ‘Sweet Moments’, the song is a fast paced and catchy track with subtle vocals. The band is currently recording new material and are giving a teaser of the grand sound they will soon be releasing more of with ‘Sweet Moments’. Youthful enthusiasm and a strong overall indie rock sound the track is anthemic and addictive!
ØZWALD – Garden of the Sun
A festive and brass-filled new single was released by the indie side project of the lead singer and guitarist of Lifehouse. Jason Wade and Steve Stout bonded over The Beatles which led to ØZWALD. Their washed and dreamy indie sound is a soothing and carefully positive sounding one, with ‘Garden of the Sun’ being the first single off of their seventh album, as well as being the title track. It’s summer in a song with this one!
Fast Money Music – Ashes
An Editor-esque grand synth rock track was sent to us by Fast Money Music, the band just released their single ‘Ashes’ which builds on a powerful intro and warm guitar tones. Its strong lead vocals and softly thumping soundscape resemble that of Interpol’s well known sound and captivate from the beginning until the very end. Fast Money Music have crafted a sound that is unhurried, slick and very well-produced, ‘Ashes’ is addictive and made us instantly reach for the bands’ debut EP that was released on the 9th of June!
The Lost and Found Music Group – Scared Straight
Don’t get fooled by the hip hop-inspired intro of ‘Scared Straight’, and certainly don’t turn your volume down. The Lost and Found Music Group’s latest offering is supposed to be listened to on full volume, let it immerse you as I did… Their grand distorted alternative indie R&B sound is a hard-hitter for fans of The Streets and the combination of singing and spoken vocals make the song a surprising rollercoaster all of its three and a half minutes.
