It was a pleasant surprise when The Hoosiers announced their first new album in eight years and even though it took us a while to give their new songs some attention, we were hooked within seconds when we finally gave their latest single ‘Idaho’ a listen! The single is the third release of upcoming album ‘Confidence’, which is due for release on the 15th of September.
The infectious and brass-filled track is a sublime masterpiece, instantly uplifting which stands in stark contrast with its subject… ‘Idaho’ is a crime-filled track driven by charming vocals. That, however, is just as we had expected and hoped to hear when giving The Hoosiers another shot after eight long years without new material.
On the album we’ll also be able to find previously released singles ‘Hello Sunshine’ and ‘Snowflake’, deliciously summery alternative rock sounds a la The Hoosiers of several years ago. Sound-wise it seems like no time has passed in-between releases, theirs is still an ever infectious and passionate sound you simply have to listen to on repeat! The upcoming album will thankfully be followed by an extensive UK tour for which certain shows have already sold out!
