A new frantically eclectic alternative rock track was released by Dutch rock band The Grand East. Their latest is called ‘Floor = Lava’ and comes with an all-over-the-place video that depicts the band perfectly. The Grand East is musically chaotic and brings an energy to the scene that is hard to copy. They’re one of the bands on the Dutch scene that are kicking against all expectations and leave the critics with mouth wide open and head slightly tilted wondering what they’ve just experienced.
There’s no box that would ever fit The Grand East, they are simply too big. Their new album will be released in just a few day’s time and we can’t wait to hear what noise they’ll be bringing this time. Theirs is guitar-driven, with funky guitar lines and ‘wah wah’ vocals. Single ‘Floor = Lava’ stands for all that is labelled as wrong nowadays, all we can get cancelled for… The band are throwing their toys out of the pram, being done with conforming and confused by what is right and wrong.
