Sonic whisperer Tristan Rene just released ‘Light Up Garden’, the soft folk pop song is an instantly hooking, ethereal dream pop song bringing ethereal melodies together with hazy vocals talking about the collective consciousness. His voice is worldly, channelled through his family’s vast origins. Rene was born in Montana to a Jewish West Indian mother and a Mallorcan father, and raised in Washington D.C.. He was drawn to Montreal and the city’s poetic energy and gothic aesthetic, it was there he brew his own softly gothic sound with its mysterious soundwaves.
‘Light Up Garden’ was born from a single guitar melody and softly trickles through our headphones while we feel ourselves swaying away to its ethereal soundscape. On his music and his latest release, Tristan mentions “loneliness is the truth behind my music…” But with his music on in the background, we no longer feel alone.
