Fast-rising exciting ethereal guitar pop band The Last Dinner Party have released their brand new single ‘On Your Side’ alongside the announcement of their debut album ‘Prelude To Ecstasy’ which is due for release on the 2nd of February 2024 via Island Records.
The song is a hauntingly beautiful ballad emphasising The Last Dinner Party’s wandering vocals and soundscapes. Slowly building and using the building blocks we have heard the band use before, they cement their position within the modern musical landscape. They mesmerise on stage and have created another layer of magic by releasing enchanting alternative rock songs. ‘On Your Side’ brings a new layer of depth to the bands’ musical catalogue.
The Last Dinner Party spent much of 2022 writing songs, road-testing them, and taking them into the studio, it wasn’t until April that their dark guitar pop sound had all of us form an opinion on the band that seemingly came out of nowhere. The Last Dinner Party do it the old-fashioned way, by taking their music out on the road, and with an incredible live show such as theirs, that was always going to work!
