A grand and powerful new alternative pop track was released by Lou Emery, her latest, ‘Fools’, is the fourth of her upcoming debut EP!
She exposes an edgier side, leans against rock with driving drums and delicious guitar licks. Her theatrical vocals stand proudly in the midst of the mix and drive the single forward. The song is unapologetically loud and in your face and brings a deliciously fierce sound to the scene. ‘Fools’ offers a gutsy perspective on religion and begs the question; “is ignorance truly bliss?”
The pop rock artist is based in Los Angeles and bends genres to suit her own talents, making it hard to look away or turn down the volume when Emery is singing! On ‘Fools’ she turns her back on the production of smooth pop songs and gives us a sound rougher and more personal than we have heard in a while. She is the rockier, more daring version of darling Harry Styles. She touches on pop but can be put in similar categories to Paramore’s Hayley Williams and The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen.
