Album: Linden – Descent From Paradise

A beautifully haunting new eccentric pop album has crawled out of the corners its been hiding. ‘Descent From Paradise’ is a mysterious and slow burning piece of intricate art coming from the hand of Brighton-based singer songwriter, performer, and visual artist Linden.

Come meet the garden demons and get to know their story through music art and aromatherapy

She’s created a world of her own, a sound a la AURORA and Kovacs, bringing another layer of mystique to the world of music, making us ponder while slowly being swayed and taken away by her soft and ethereal alternative pop sounds. The concept behind this musical project comes from the historical aspect of humans who’ve always been searching for paradise. “The image and concept of paradise can be found throughout art, literature, music and folklore. Our impossible strive for the perfect existence and our guilt for being cast out.”

“But what if there are multiple? Each paradise is perfect in their own way and each perfectly flawed in their own way…” On ‘Descent From Paradise’ we meet songs and sounds that have been inspired by the characters from The Major Arcana Tarot cards, all giving a voice to those cards, our divine feminine side, our divine masculine side, and how they intertwine and work together to strive and find balance and harmony. All ten songs come with their own tarot card, their own colour, fragrance, flower, and herb, Linden doesn’t create in halves.

For an experience within the otherworldly, one that can slowly fog up your world to outplay and overshadow daily chores and worries, Linden has created the musical answer.
