Album: Harrison Storm – Wonder, Won’t You

Indie folk singer songwriter Harrison Storm has just unveiled his debut album ‘Wonder, Won’t You’. The album is a subtly hazy cumulation of beautifully pensive alternative folk songs.

His stunning soft vocals tell stories of the desires of his own heart and mind. His wandering soundscapes paint vivid pictures of feelings we have all felt before. ‘Warm A Cold Heart’ is the perfectly slow intro to the album and with its catchy chorus is instantly memorable. With slow burning folk pop songs such as ‘Stone’ and the guitar-driven soundscape on ‘Daylight Sun’, he brings a personal and honest sound to the folk pop scene.

The songs on ‘Wonder, Won’t You’ helped Storm work through his own struggles, with the album he hopes to help others do the same. To that he added: “For me, music is a lot about self-discovery and honesty. My stories have a lot to do with connection and connecting with myself, but also really trying to connect with the world.” On his songs he works with the sounds and feelings of nature to help us connect with our surroundings, helping him achieve his goal of connecting with the world.

On ‘My Way Home’ we hear him spill his heart in a tender expression of adoration and belonging, and on ‘This Love’ he dives head first into the chase and pull of desire. ‘In Good Time’ is a nostalgic daydream about forgiving the past and running into the future. ‘Life Ain’t Ordinary’ is the perfect soundtrack for a slow dance through the living room, and ‘Better With You’ is a tearjerkingly beautiful ending to a beautifully introspective album.
