PLAY DEAD – Thameslink

London-based alternative punk rock outfit PLAY DEAD are back with the release of their explosive and guitar-heavy track ‘Thameslink’. It is an instantly energising, caffeinated soundscape driven by heavy guitar licks and their sharp signature vocals.

On ‘Thameslink’ they verse on commuter-belt misery and a generation being priced out of their futures. ‘Less is more’ is at the core of the trio and their latest release, it is a simple yet powerful track bursting at the seams, driven by an anger at the world and the system that is set to work against the many in every single aspect of life. Singer Joe Blair reflect on the song’s coming about which happened sometime after he paid £7 for a pint at his local pub, “I guess it’s a bit of a diss-track on London – being fed up with the trains, the price of beer and the day-to-day habits of the miserable commuter…”
