Double single ‘maybe/tomorrow’ is multi-instrumentalist and dream pop artist Sasha Bayan‘s latest release, two songs close to his, and now our, hearts. The singles are part of his introspective album ‘enough’, on which he’s tried to express deeper emotions and thoughts we all struggle with.
Their soundscapes are warm and colourful, bring a soothing and hazy sound to support our ever-confusing “what will the future bring” thoughts. He has created a dynamic sound for both songs that intertwines and make them sound as one. “‘tomorrow’ is a song that speaks to the experience of loss and the faint hope that emerges in its aftermath. In writing this, I aimed to capture the mixed feelings of letting go of the past while holding onto the hope for what lies ahead.”

A carefully anthemic, very catchy rhythm and chorus appear on ‘maybe’, a song that “reflects on the nature of decision-making and how our choices leave lasting marks on our lives. It’s a track that delves into the realms of reflection and the ‘what-ifs’ that often accompany our decisions. My goal was to create a song that not only speaks to the listener but also invites them into a space of introspection and contemplation.” Their soulful and inspiring sounds are like an ointment on a healing wound, sounding warm and without judgment, building on an eccentric alternative folk pop sound unique to Sasha Bayan’s musical catalogue.
