Middlesbrough music festival Twisterella announces first names

We’ve only ever had a good time in Middlesbrough, and it looks like we’ll have a good time in Teesside once again on Saturday the 12th of October when music festival Twisterella returns for their 10 year anniversary! The festival have just announced the first few names on their line-up, and our interest is well and truly peaked.

Leading the announcement are Belfast post-punk trio Chalk, noisy Norwegians Pom Poko, Durham favourites Martha, Cumbria-born rock singer songwriter Melanie Baker, and cherished colourful rock outfit Be Quiet. Shout Loud! There’s Teesside locals Moon Wax, and Pet Snake, if none of those were on your wish list already, you should add them as soon as possible.

The award-winning music festival is vital to the region and its grassroots scene and is showing off its ability to showcase emerging local artists and offering them a stage and chances to grow! Now celebrating its 10th year, Twisterella has previously played host to established acts such as Sam Fender, Pip Blom, and Prima Queen, so it’s worth keeping an eye on previously mentioned artists because who knows where they’ll be in a few year’s time. Twisterella will announce additional artists as well as the (un)Conference programme over the next few months.
