A powerful and dark alternative pop track was released by Dutch emerging outfit NORE, theirs is misleadingly been given the name of a delicate and sweet flower, ‘Daisy’ doesn’t sound anything like what its name suggests. Their sound is a determined and confident sound with strong female vocals at its core and soft wandering soundscapes leading us through a goth-like woodland.
‘Daisy’ is the third single from the band and taken from their upcoming EP, it is the most sensitive sound we have heard from the alternative rock risers so far. Though pensive at times, and reflective throughout, the song is a confident piece of alternative art and brings a breath of fresh air to the scene.
“‘Daisy’ portrays two sisters in a timeless sibling rivalry. Through a turbulent song, it delves into the mix of love and resentment toward siblings, often exposed during shared holidays. While complex in structure, the takeaway resonates with anyone who grew up with siblings.”
