A carefully crafted summer anthem was created by Talking Horses, its intro slowly breaks in a festive summer sound that is similar to the ska punk sound we are rather keen on. For a debut, it is a rather confident and determined one. The DIY project that was born and brewed in Birmingham has launched themselves out of the starting blocks guns blazing.
A soundscape energetic and uplifting with a rhythm fast paced but not too fast, thumping on steadily, hooking all those that will listen. On ‘Somewhere Down The Road’ the band fused their love for indie rock and fun, its verses featuring funky guitar lines and warm bass tones with slightly aggressive vocals topping its compositions. Add a layer of brass and you have a refreshing new summer sound, an anthem in its own right, and a band clearly ready to figuratively break take down the festival stages this summer!
