Husky Loops never disappoint and always surprise, the London-based trio is back with the release of ‘Again Replay’. The track is a tripping hip hop and pop-fused track driven by eccentric effects and, inevitably, loops!
It’s thumping beat is undeniably catchy and its vocals fun and refreshing, the trio I wouldn’t dare give the simple label of ‘band’, are back and stronger then ever after having been thrown off the tracks by covid. The track touches upon the subject but sounds more like a determined “fuck you” anthem then a “life is so hard” piece of fumble. This is the announcement of a new chapter of Husky Loops and I am exhilarated to hear the group being back on the scene.
The single, ‘Again Replay’ is part of the group’s brand new three track EP ‘ultrarama’. We hear rambling riffs and ridiculous compositions only Husky Loops can come up with. They are pushing their, and the modern industry’s, boundaries and are unintentionally making fun of others in the process.
Speaking about the new release, the band’s Danio said, “When I pause for a second and think about all the reasons why I started making music in the first place, “ultrarama” is what being in Husky Loops should feel like. It’s not about pleasing others or fitting to a format: I am writing music that satisfies the need inside me of expressing something real, without overthinking it. We are making the art we want to listen to, the music that can fill the gap between our imagination and what comes out of the speakers. And if no one cares… we do, and that’s the point. We value caring, free flow, curiosity. No social media will change this mindset as our inspiration makes us confident and able to become what we desire to be.”
