Video: Bird’s View – Vienna
A powerful rock release was brought to us at the end of the month, German rock outfit Bird’s View released a single and video for ‘Vienna’. It’s a fast paced and high energy indie rock track with strong vocal harmonies and a grand guitar-driven soundscape. The track describes the curse and the blessing of being available and connected all the time. It was written during two days off in Vienna between two support tours and captivates the energy and at times feeling of powerlessness when always being connected!

Nick Howe – I Only Ever Lose
London-based singer songwriter Nick Howe has released a new and emotive single that openly talks about continuously falling for someone that is no good for you and doesn’t reciprocate your feelings. ‘I Only Ever Lose’ is a soft and simple track highlighting emotive vocals and a simple, piano-driven soundscape that supports its heart-wrenching message and heartfelt narrative. Howe has successfully built on his indie folk sound with ‘I Only Ever Lose’.
The Haunted Youth – Into You
Belgian’s finest indie synth pop outfit The Haunted Youth have just released ‘Into You’ and it’s a shimmering and uplifting disco-infused synth pop track with hazy vocals and a warm, electrifying soundscape. ‘Into You’ slowly builds towards a powerful crescendo, and while doing so talks about not being able to be with your sweetheart, “it’s about finding a balance between yourself as an individual and your relationship.”

Timeless folk pop sibling duo Black Lilys have released another soaring and emotive new release in ‘Shelter (Year Later)’. His latest is anthemic and impressive and I could listen to it on repeat. Also a new release ahead of an album due in September, I am curious to hear more from this musical and innovative creative.
Noak Hellsing – Empty the Bags
A warm and bouncing disco soul single was released by Swedish pop artist Noak Hellsing. ‘Empty the Bags’ is a dancy new release with a hint at pop, soul, disco, and with jazzy undertones. A subtly thumping beat and hazy vocals make this a fun listen and a great introduction to his upcoming EP!
