London-based five piece KAWALA have just released extravagant and energetic new single ‘Time Slipping Away’, it’s an act of reassurance, a life boat to hold onto while times are tough.
The track is a fun and funky, upbeat surf pop release driven by soft vocals singing about setbacks and how to look to the positive side of the coin. Its synth-driven intro is instantly catchy and pulls you out of a moment of flagging like an espresso doppio. ‘Time Slipping Away’ truly listens like the sun, warms my cheeks, makes me want to go out and do a little dance, it’s the sonic and driving soundscape that makes it such as addictive listen. A song I truly can’t get enough of, and a band I am quite simply a big fan of, KAWALA are sure to brighten your day.
On ‘Time Slipping Away’, they added: “We’ve had many setbacks, and it’s always easy to get a bit negative and find things difficult, ‘Time Slipping Away’ has a positive sonic – it’s exciting, punchy, and self-motivating for us, while still being relatable for other people. Things might not be okay, but at the end of the day, there’s always a flip side to the coin.”
