FlutterTone presents a brand new inclusive and accessible music festival for the younger generation on the 23rd of June at Dublin’s iconic Button Factory! BASED provides a platform for young emerging talent in Ireland.
On the 23rd of June, all-ages music festival BASED will be taking over the Button Factory for the second time with a fully stacked line-up of emerging acts. In response to the need for more inclusive and accessible music events for the younger generation, the festival is the first of its kind to provide a stage for young talents in Ireland. Due to the success of its first edition, the festival has expanded and will now be running two stages showcasing indie rock talents from all around the country.
Fluttertone director Colm said; “I’ve seen so much talent in bands that are up-and-coming but can’t get opportunities to play because they’re not 18.” Inspired by a passion for nurturing young musical talent, BASED aims to provide a stage for these young artists, as well as address the lack of safe shows for young music fans. One band to catch on the night is DIY bedroom band Thanks Mom, who’ve already released two well-received albums. They are joined by Garvan Labert, psych-rockers Taiyo, high-energy acts DC Dolls and The Blackpits, the captivating Dopamine, and many others. Find the line-up below, and tickets here.
