Peter Alexander Jobson – Burn The Ration Books Of Love

A dark and cinematic new alternative pop release was put out by Peter Alexander Jobson, his ‘Burn The Ration Books Of Love’ is a mesmerising new piece of musical theatre!

The slow building intro of I Am Kloot’s bass/ keyboard player’s latest single release is a soft and theatrical one that didn’t truly entice us, but we’re grateful we kept listening. Once his voice cuts through its soundscape the track builds towards a sound that is enigmatic and addictive, warm and crooning vocals we could never get enough of lead ‘Burn The Ration Books Of Love’ and drive it further down a road of soft compelling alternative pop.

The single is the first taken from his upcoming debut album and will hit the spot for fans of Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen and Mark Lanegan to name a few. On the title track, the artist added: “‘Burn The Ration Books of Love’ is an album full of observations and reflections on the life choices I have made and the wages of the future dealt to me by those choices. I am passing on my experiences as I would if we were both sat together and the silence became unwelcome.” It’s not just the music that is poetic, even his words have a way about them. Although this pensive sound isn’t always for us, those vocals are some of the best we’ve heard in a while.
