A thundering and powerful new release was shared by Wodan Boys, the Dutch fast-rising rock outfit just released ‘Power’, a compelling single and the second of the boys’ upcoming debut album.
‘Power’ is a euphoric and captivating alternative rock track that builds on the band’s established musical DNA. Aggressive guitar riffs, a killer groove, and catchy hooks are what binds ‘Power’, “its lyrics are about evading the controlling force of those who set the rules.” That young enthusiasm and stubbornness are what I enjoy about the band’s sound and ethos. Wodan Boys kick down fences and destroy expectations by doing nothing the way we expect them to.
“Let’s be honest, you don’t need another list of bands we all like nor a bunch of metaphors that make us look cool. High energy loudmouth rock music, that’s what it’s about.” Leave the metaphors to me, because that’s what I do best. Wodan Boys’ ‘Power’ sounds like how I feel after my fourth black coffee of the day, they bring a driving track, and write about the things close to me and hopefully close to others my age.
