A dauntingly beautiful single was released by St Lundi, ‘Say So’ is another example of their prolific indie folk sound that is touching and emotive.
‘Say So’ is the continuation of the sound we have become hungry for, since St Lundi’s debut single in 2020. The alternative pop artist has created a mesmerising sound he shares with us on commercial pop track ‘Say So’, slightly more commercial then his previous work, but undeniably catchy. Potentially even more so then for example ‘Different Houses’ and ‘Ruin’, we reviewed both singles before. All have one thing in common; a knack for incredible song writing and skilful story telling through soft, hazy soundscapes and wandering vocal lines.
On his latest he said: “I wrote ‘Say So’ about my relationship with my father. We’d not spoken for nearly five years after falling out and no matter what I tried to do, nothing could replace our relationship. One day I realised maybe he’s not so good at talking because he never really had a father. So I reached out… And ever since we’ve been closer than ever.” It is the beautiful sentiment that drives this song and makes it such a beautifully emotive, though poppy, one.
