Dutch outfit The Grand East released ‘Life is Boring’ and instantly brightened up our lives. The touring alternative rock outfit are a known name on the streets of Europe and are making their way into the rest of the world, with ‘Life is Boring’ being a great way to do so!
The track slowly builds towards a mantra-like chorus, supported by driving drums and sharp lead vocals. Their stage presence alone showcases that life with The Grand East could never be boring, which is why the song is a fun listen and potential paradox. Could life ever truly be boring as a touring musician, or is this track talking about life outside of being a musician? You’ll have to ask The Grand East to be able to find out.
Their distinctive energetic rock sound is a refreshing and exhilarating one, addictive in the sense that we’ve been listening to the track on repeat and it’s still not boring us. Exciting influences taken from 80’s synth wave and 90’s garage rock highlight a different musical element with every listen which make the track and this band a curious one that’ll never bore us.
