Rock’n’roll stars Wax-Tree-Cast have just released their new single ‘Straitjacket’ and it’s another one of those hard hitters we simply want to listen to on repeat.
The Halifax-born outfit have been busy honing their craft and created a seductive alternative rock sound with stunning vocals and delicious guitar licks fuelling their ever infectious, rocking soundscapes. They’re the cool kids on the block, not just in sound but also in attitude and fashion. Wax-Tree-Cast have rightfully so supported some of the rock greats such as Johnny Marr and Kula Shaker, and shared a line-up with The Libertines.
Wax-Tree-Cast is made up of duo Oolagh and Blair and their latest, ‘Straitjacket’, is an arena ready indie bop with a hook-laden chorus that’ll stuck in your head for days. The single tackles themes of fascination and infatuation, written from the perspective of someone craving attention from their partner. The track is the perfect introduction to the duo’s fuzzy guitar rock sound and a sense of what more we can expect from the creative and musical busy bees. ‘Straitjacket’ is taken from their upcoming debut EP, ‘Entanglements To Affairs Part I’, which is set for release on the 13th of September!
