Gemma Hayes – Another Love

‘Another Love’ is alt pop artist Gemma Hayes‘ latest, the Mercury Prize-nominated singer-songwriter released her new single through Townsend Music. The single was taken from her sixth album ‘Blind Faith’.

The Irish musician’s first new album since 2014 is accompanied by a UK headline tour, including a show at London’s Union Chapel on the 28th of September. ‘Another Love’ is Hayes’ return and shows how her prowess as a storyteller hasn’t changed since her last release. “‘Another Love’ is a lament, it deals with two characters being haunted by the ghost of someone they loved while finding comfort in each other’s arms. Both reveal that they do not love the other and that weirdly brings them closer together.”

‘Another Love’ is a softly shimmering and pensive alternative folk pop song with beautiful vocals and a subtle soundscape that beautifully dresses her warm voice. The song is a slow paced, seductive song with influences taken from indie, pop, folk and a hint of rock. Combining female with male vocals, the song is a beautiful embrace created by two artists that have brought together their talents and intertwined them like they were always supposed to be together. The song listens like a warm and comforting hug and is a rather addictive one at that, we want it again, and again, and again.
