An upbeat and jangly new yacht rock track was released by Make Friends. Their latest, ‘I Lose, You Lose’, is taken from their new EP ‘Loaded Fun’ and it’s a whole lot of fun!
The Bristol-based indie-risers have created a subtly anthemic surf rock track with hazy vocals and a thumping rhythm that is addictive and seductive. Its instantly captivating intro makes for intrigue from the get-go. Its colourful musical palette is the perfect introduction to the vibrant sound of Make Friends. ‘I Lose, You Lose’ is the title track of the band’s EP ‘Loaded Fun’, which is due for release on the 13th of September on Ignition Records.
The EP heralds a fresh start for the four-piece as they venture into a thrilling era of evolution.
‘I Love, You Lose’ delves into the mutual sadness shared by two individuals ending their connection. Juxtaposed by its uplifting soundscape, the song’s energetic opening mirrors the emotional turmoil of separation. Taking strength from a painful and heart-wrenching situation, the band have created a way for not just themselves, but also their listeners, to deal and process these delicate situations.
In July, the band created a buzz with performances at Dot To Dot and The Great Escape, along with dates supporting Sundara Karma and PYNCH. Now they’re getting ready to capture even more hearts with their comforting indie pop sound!
