Alternative pop artist Boski just released his new full length album ‘Feels Like The End’ which is a collection of eleven soaring and personal alt pop songs!
The Tennessee-based artist has created a powerful and alternative pop sound driven by eclectic soundscapes that build on many different genre-influences and softly speaks to convey his message on this new collection of songs. The self-proclaimed nerd gets his inspiration from indie, alternative, hip hop and soul and writes short stories that offer an easy-listening experience. Great examples are title track ‘Feels Like The End’ and ‘Boyband’. On ‘Nothing Lasts’ we hear a hint of punk, spoken vocals, and a strumming soundscape that is potentially the most honest piece on the album.
Fans of The Stokes will enjoy the hints of rock we hear on ‘Not Right Now’ and ‘The Rain’, while we hear influences of Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke’s vocal style on ‘The Rain’ as well as ‘I Never Did’. Whichever artist you hear has influenced Boski’s latest work, the overarching theme and sound of the album is a melancholic, nostalgic one. Strong vocals and ever-exciting soundscapes that twist and turn and surprise on every single track make this album an outstanding one. “‘Feels Like The End’ really feels like the end but with the familiarity of someone who happened to live on despite the constant anxiety and panic of a world post 9/11.”
