Singer songwriter and pop artist Ella Jinks recently released a stunning and heartfelt new release, ‘Maybe In Another Life’ is the project of a collaboration between Jinks and Matt Ingram!
Her soft and hazy style of singing brings a comforting and unhurried type of music to our platform and it is a welcome one at that. Angelic vocals and a subtle string driven soundscape make a pleasant listen, an experience that is rather addictive. ‘Maybe I Another Life’ follows the release of her debut EP last year and showcases a carefully eagerness to create and stand out from others within her genre. She collaborated with Ingram, who previously worked with Florence + The Machine and Laura Marling and we hear hints of both on this new slice of musical heaven.
The single sees her return to a warm and wistful approach that offers a rich and tender sound, sounding so very natural. About her new single, Jinks added: “‘Maybe in Another Life’ is a song that explores the difficulty of coming to terms with endings and how we can often lose ourselves in imaginary scenarios where things may have worked out differently but it’s only a distraction from the reality of having to let go.”
She combines influences taken from blues, soul and indie folk and moulds them into a sound that works well for herself and her beautiful voice. ‘Maybe In Another Life’ is another timeless piece of comforting music.
