The Criticals – Adoringly Drunk

‘Adoringly Drunk’ is the latest and highly energetic guitar-driven rock track from The Criticals on being adoringly drunk and experiencing unrequited love.

Warm vocals serenade us and colour an already vibrant and riff-driven alternative rock soundscape that touches on the heavier corners of the musical catalogue of the Arctic Monkeys, and the suave of Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme. The two guys that form The Criticals have come from Nashville and flew to the south of England for two months to make an album with producer Jonathan Gilmore. ‘Adoringly Drunk’ is the first single taken from the album.

The undeniably British sound we hear on this first teaser of the duo’s upcoming piece of work is an exciting and fast paced one, addictive due to its exciting hooks, and punching drum rolls make for a thunderous listening experience. ‘Adoringly Drunk’ is too short for its own good, however makes us long for more and has us hooked to The Criticals. The track shows the band’s main focus; high energy, and highlights their youthful honesty and lust for life. We’re listening to ‘Adoringly Drunk’ on repeat for the foreseeable, in case you’re looking for us…
