Dutch punk rock outfit Wodan Boys have returned with Queens Of The Stone Age-infused rock’n’roll track ‘Karaoke Rockstar’ and it’s currently stuck on repeat…
If there’s a band that knows how to create intriguing alternative rock tracks with strong vocals and hazy, punching soundscapes, it’s Wodan Boys. They’ve done it again on ‘Karaoke Rockstar’, which is a fast paced and highly energetic blend of influences taken from Queens Of The Stone Age and The Hives. The track is another taken from the band’s upcoming debut album which is due for release in March next year. With ‘Karaoke Rockstar’ they share a compelling and up-tempo rock song about “thinking you’re a whole lot more than you actually are”.
The band will be taking the stage in most Dutch cities with support from friends Bongloard in November and December, hitting Breda, Groningen, Leiden, Rotterdam, and more. They’ve gathered attention from the Dutch media and are making their way across international waters with fans all over the world. If you ask me, it’s their fast paced and unapologetic sound that makes them so very loveable, or Wodanable, if you will…
