Isabel Maria released her latest harmonious and dynamic synth-driven ballad ‘At Least We Don’t Have Kids’ last month and is gearing up for a headline show on the 26th of October at The Cumberland Arms.
The soft singer songwriter and alternative pop artist created a soothing and alternative soundscape that is driven by soft vocals, thick harmonies, dynamic synth-lines, and thumping drums. The track is a driving alt pop ballad that takes us on a rollercoaster ride of sonic ups and downs and honest lyricism. On the single and its writing process, Isabel said: “‘At Least We Don’t Have Kids’ was a really quick one to write – I remember writing it in a two-hour flurry, having a lot to say and not a lot of time to do it in.”
“I suppose it’s about shared accountability in a situation, and finding the – in this case, slightly tongue in cheek – silver lining in a dark spot.” It is one of her most expansive soundscapes so far, built with synths, beats, and angelic harmonies. The single comes ahead of an exciting headline show at Newcastle’s The Cumberland Arms with support from Ice Road Trucker and Melanie Baker, ticket for the show are available here.
