Dreamy vocals and angelic harmonies make for a soft and warm listen, ‘Ambition is Your Friend’ doesn’t touch the floor at any point, floating through time and space and making for an eccentric listening experience. Strong guitar lines stand out within its musical soundscape while those floating vocals softly dance around it, it is a dance within a song and a wandering one at that.
The single is the fourth taken from the band’s upcoming twelve track album, ‘Ticking Haze’ which is due for release in March this year. At a recent Bandcamp listening party, this jangling pop track was a favourite, with influences of R.E.M. it is their most soaring and catchy release to date.
