Nathan O’Regan – Killer

I’m excited to share your new favourite bluesy pop rock release, it’s Nathan O’Regan‘s ‘Killer’!

‘Killer’ is an instantly charming alternative pop rock release with passionately soaring vocals and a deliciously addictive rhythm that makes it impossible for its listener not to have a boogie no matter the location nor social situation. I’m “guilty as charged”… The Irish singer-songwriter has crafted a charming country-blues rock track that thunders like a train and must be listened to on repeat no matter location nor social situation.

‘Killer’ was written by O’Regan with fellow Belfast-based musician Gareth Dunlop, and recorded in Donegal. The song’s inspiration came from a discussion the two had about their life partners, “Gareth and I have incredible, fierce women in our lives and we were joking about how we both need that from time to time. It’s like dealing with an assassin – they kill all the worst parts of you, and leave you with the bits they like the most.” Speaking their truth and seeing women for what they are; killers, O’Regan has created a poignant new release of which its inspiration stands in stark contrast with its B-side.

‘Hey Man’ was written by O’Regan the night he found out a close friend had passed away. “It’s the last phone call that I should have had with him, but I never found the courage to call. I was in complete denial. I have a little picture of Ian just under my screen in my studio and I make sure I talk to him every day now.” With the release of these two brilliantly open-hearted tracks Nathan O’Regan opens up and leaves no emotion untouched, showcasing his musical and lyrical talent.
