Have you ever felt so much all at once that it seems impossible to untangle the web of emotions? ‘Bigger Than Nothing’ is the latest song that’s made me feel that way, it’s BIIG TIME‘s brand new offering.
BIIG TIME is the side-project of DMA’S Johnny Took and PLANET’s Matthew Took, the brothers have created a soaring and emotive indie rock sound that resonates deeply. Utilising their personal signatures, the Took’s bring a genuine and authentic voice to the scene. Colouring ‘Bigger Than Nothing’s soundscape with hints of shoegaze and alt rock, amplifying it through slick guitar lines, making it utterly irresistible, the brothers set the tone for their upcoming and long-awaited debut.
Temporarily breaking from their motherships, Johnny and Matthew are getting ready to share their own eleven track counting collection. Elevating emotions through wandering riffs, arena-ready drum rolls and vocals thick and sweet as honey, BIIG TIME know how to wrap their listeners around their fingers. On this charming new release, the band say: “‘Bigger Than Nothing’ is our first release since our first and only single back in 2020! It’s quintessential BIIG TIME. Lyrically it’s full of tongue in cheek self-deprecation and floating in and out of the feeling of not being good enough for people and situations around you. It’s the first single from the album, which is a collection of gems that we have written over the years. We couldn’t be prouder to share this first taste.”
