Live at Beyond Vinyl

Newcastle’s west end is becoming more vibrant and colourful by the day and Beyond Vinyl works hard on keeping that movement going with live events and an in-house recording studio. This month they’ve got Jack Garratt and Vistas popping by for in-stores, and from experience I can say that it will pop off.

On Saturday the 23rd of August Jack Garratt will be celebrating the release of his long-awaited return, his first full-length album in five years. ‘Pillars’ is out on the 15th of August on Cooking Vinyl and was written, self-produced, and mixed in his North London studio. The album is deeply personal, emotionally rich, and bursting with energy, it explores themes of love in all of its forms; romantic, platonic, and self-love, and brings Garratt’s signature blend of experimental production, sweeping melodies, and unfiltered honesty. Pre-orders and tickets for his performance and signing are available here.

Scottish indie rock favourites Vistas will be making their return to Beyond Vinyl on the 30th of August at 6pm with a stripped-back performance celebrating the release of their brand new album ‘Cut The Cord’. The album is due for release on the 29th of August and makes the band’s bold new chapter, and their fourth studio album so far. They blend punchy indie hooks with heavier and more experimental sounds, ‘Cut The Cord’ builds on their sonic evolution since the release of acclaimed EP ‘The Beautiful Nothing’. Tickets for an exclusive set, meet and greet, and signing of the album are available here.
