‘Help (2)’ is the new album released by War Child records, it contains multiple masterpieces from various upcoming and established artists.
A few songs that really brought life to this record are ‘Opening Night’ by Arctic Monkeys, ‘Black Boys on Mopeds’ by Fontaines D.C. and ‘Flags’ by Damon Albarn, Grian Chatten and Kae Tempest. These songs are, in my personal opinion, the best on the album. That’s because they all have the same meaning and purpose, which is raising awareness for children in war. These artists did a really good job at capturing that emotion in their tunes.
This album was made to raise awareness for children that are being affected by war. War Child is a charity organization that mainly focusses on helping psychological support, education and protection for those children who are growing up and living in dangerous situations. Their motto is; “No child should ever be a part of war, ever.” All the profit that is raised by this album goes to the organization.
The record itself doesn’t stick to one genre, each artist adds their own personal style to their track and made it into something totally unique. From the heavy guitar parts in ‘Opening Night’ to the soft vocals in ‘The Book Of Love’. It has endless varieties of sounds and styles. In conclusion, this album has a deep meaning behind it, is raising money for children in need and is an easy listen overall. A total success if you ask me.
