Do you ever hear a song and think “Yes!”, and just that? It’s what I thought when I heard ‘John Doe’. It is a fast, upbeat, high-energy punk rock song recently released by Portuguese rock outfit Zebra Libra. The band feeds their energy into melody, harmony and rhythm, and that seems to be something the band lives by. ‘John Doe’ is about the complacency and sedentary actions of the modern society. “More than a socio-political critique, it is meant to inspire and encourage action against everything that the listener sees fit.”
With unexpected rhythm-changes, some great toe-tapping drum rolls and screeching guitar-riffs the band definitely did not choose the easy road and it shows how talented these musicians are. Here’s ‘John Doe’.
