Mellow, dreamy indie pop is always welcome to calm me down whenever I’ve had a busy work week. Tall Heights brought me ‘Keep Me Light’ and kept me light while singing it to me. The indie folk duo started as buskers on the streets of Boston but their layered melodies and folk soundscapes needed a bigger stage. They have now found one and have been evolving since.
Tall Heights is set to release the B-side of ‘Keeps Me Light’ which is called ‘Under Your Skin’, both singles are mixed by Grammy-nominated engineer Damien Lewis and are following the success of viral single ‘Spirit Gold’. Both singles capture the vocal-blend of the duo perfectly and paint a soundscape that involves an authentic energy that draws to a different world.
The duo have toured alongside CAKE, Colony House and one of my favourites; The Paper Kites. A bright future promises to be ahead for the wonderful, eye-opening, musical act. Have a listen for yourself and hopefully they keep you light as well!
