For those that appreciate the classic Britpop sound, Liverpool-based band Columbia have created just that for you and showcase it again with their latest single ‘Always Shoulda Known’. It is a smouldering and soaring new track with grand and powerful vocals, and a soundscape that resembles Noel Gallagher’s and Oasis’ tracks ‘If I Had A Gun’ and ‘I’m Outta Time’.
Columbia’s vocals however, are what truly make ‘Always Shoulda Known’ stand out, sharp with an edge and filled with passion, they made us want to listen over and over again. The single appears on the band’s recently released debut EP ‘The Potion.’, which came out at the start of this month. The EP is a four track counting piece of warm indie Britpop and above all it is incredibly catchy!
