Video: lotusbliss – Tear Me Apart

A powerful and driving new noise rock track was released by Canterbury-based trio lotusbliss. The single, ‘Tear Me Apart’ is part of the result of a literal lifetime of creating, experimenting, noise-making and camaraderie. It is a particularly exciting shimmering rock soundscape driven by gorgeous and sharp vocals, talking about “refusing to allow the darkest moments, the hurtful words, or the hurdles you face to be what breaks you.”

Fanatic guitar lines and grand thumping synths bring us an anthemic rock sound that is captivating and brings a sound a la Nothing But Thieves, Blossoms and Wolf Alice. There’s a hint of the rough vocals of Sam Fender in there too, not that he’s singing on the track, but if you’re fan of the singing Geordie, you’ll be a fan of lotusbliss!

The single is a dynamic and soaring one and incorporates layers of synths and high-octane choruses. It packs a punch, brings deliciously exciting hooks, and lands the band a spot on our ones-to-watch list for 2024. On ‘Tear Me Apart’ lotusbliss added; “It has been a struggle and a wrestle to finish this song, but we’re so glad we didn’t let the difficulties throw us off.” We’re glad they finished it, and it’s the first to have been released from the upcoming mini album, so we can’t wait to hear what’s next for lotusbliss!
