NINA x Radio Wolf – Bluesbreaker

A powerful and radiant new dark romantic rock track was released by NINA and Radio Wolf, their latest, ‘Bluesbreaker’ is an anthemic new track I instantly got hooked on!

This enigmatic rock track builds on an energetic soundscape driving by dark synths and angelic vocals. Its pulsating electro-dance beat provides a sublime background for its colourful vocal lines. The song breaks free from genre-specific formulas and combines haunting vocals with rich synth-driven compositions that made me feel like I had landed in a different universe. Somehow all I could visualise while listening to ‘Bluesbreaker’ was the intro of Eckleston’s and Tennant’s Doctor Who series. This track would have been a great soundtrack for the series!

‘Bluesbreaker’ comes with raunchy lyrics such as “Killer in a nightdress, Burn me up, Cure me of the bad, Riding the waves of fire, Night lust”. About that, NINA said “We were definitely exploring our dark side together. We wanted the lyrics and sounds to inspire a timeless, romantic quality, a sound and feeling that’s wild at heart.” Radio Wolf added to that, “By fusing modern electronic technology with older more organic music styles like rock ‘n’ roll, we create our own mythical lyric and sonic territory.” At that, they truly succeeded. I for one can’t wait to hear more from the iconic duo!
