News: Evanescence release album and announce UK tour

Two decades after their monumental debut changed the alternative rock forever, Evanescence are proving that their reign is nowhere near over. The gothic rock icons have officially returned with their highly anticipated sixth studio album, ‘Sanctuary’, and it’s already making massive waves.

Currently sitting comfortably at #5 on the Official UK Midweek Charts, ‘Sanctuary’ is a masterclass in modern heavy music. This twelve-track epic has been over three years in the making, serving as a deeply personal creative haven for frontwoman Amy Lee. “I am so damn proud of every second of it. It’s overwhelming,” Lee shared; “Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection.”

To bring ‘Sanctuary’ to life, the band assembled an absolute dream team of modern alternative producers. The result is a sound that honours Evanescence’s legendary roots while pushing aggressively into the future. The album’s track list reads like a journey through beautiful chaos. The record is already boasting some of the biggest rock anthems of the year. It features ‘Afterlife’, the multi-week #1 rock powerhouse that soundtracked Netflix’s breakout animated series Devil May Cry. Current single ‘Who Will You Follow’ has conquered the airwaves, and earning the band their first-ever #1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Song Chart. Its striking music video, directed by Jensen Noen, serves as a visual wake-up call, emphasizing the urgent need for authenticity in a corrupted world.

Following the kick-off of their massive 2026 World Tour, Evanescence are headed back across the pond this Autumn for a run of highly anticipated UK arena dates. They’ll be bringing the genre-bending Poppy and alt-hip-hop force K.Flay along for the ride, making these some of the most stacked bills of the year. True to their ethos, Evanescence are using their platform for good. The band has partnered with PLUS1, ensuring that £1 from every ticket sold globally goes directly toward humanitarian aid and medical relief organisations worldwide.
