July was another musical month with new releases by Wild Oceans, Dan Croll and personal indie rock favourites Loose Buttons, find out more about what they released upon on us over summer below!
Wild Oceans’ ‘I Don’t Need You’ is a soaring, grand alt-rock anthem whose thumping, thundering pop-rock intro instantly hooks you. Dan Croll delivered pure, goosebump-inducing magic on ‘Try Try Try’, showcasing his emotive vocals over a stunning alt-pop landscape that explores life’s heavy moments and the need for connection.
Gooseberry fulfilled our need for something heavy with ‘Fault Lines’, a dark, rambling rock cut channelling The Pale White’s stadium-sized energy with soar-along vocal lines. Shifting to summer energy, Loose Buttons brings bright, pungent vibes on ‘Sure Thing’ thanks to pungent guitar lines, punchy drum fills, and warm vocals.
Ben Francis keeps the heat going on ‘Summer Nights’, blending a funky, sun-soaked rhythm with rich vocals for the ultimate slice of infectious indie pop. Finally, Milan Suta and Elsbeth Rehder join forces on ‘Mannequins’, a dark, witchy, and mysterious pop-rock track that subtly nods to goth icons like Evanescence while keeping things captivatingly atmospheric. Sur Mer‘s ‘On The Shores of Massilia’ is the last one we’d like to highlight as its soft bedroom indie pop sound is soothing and has coloured our day, giving us the time and space to breathe and sink into the moment with Sur Mer!
