Last week Brain Circus released their new single ‘Mindless’, one that is a lot louder and more uptempo than we’re used of the chill indie-outfit. Is that a bad thing? It definitely is not, as to me Brain Circus is the best of both worlds. A lovely, catchy sing-along song is what ‘Mindless’ is. Leaning towards indie-band The Pale White with their easy to remember lyrics and hints of resemblance to the way Miles Kane chants his tunes. It’s a three minute-long tune that is too short for my liking, “it’s a song that’s supposed to get stuck in your head” and well it did. I’ll have ‘Mindless’ on repeat for the rest of this sunny day in the Netherlands and I hope the band will be playing at a venue near me soon!
