Canadian rockers Sunlust seem unstoppable of late, surprising fans with a taste of their new music in a stripped back video for their new single ‘Action Figure’. The new music video was dropped fresh off the back of the successful release of their new album ‘Geek Confessions’ on the 12th of April, which took the band over a year to complete having been affected by the 2020 pandemic.
The three-piece consisting of lead guitarist and vocalist Stephanie Woulfe, drummer Dan Wiktor and bassist Stefano Signorile are known for their unique take on rock with heavy influences of grunge, garage, punk, classic rock and alternative which can be heard throughout their new track showcased perfectly in their stripped down, raw cut new music video.
With a hint of a Pixies vibe evident throughout, the track which is the third single from their latest LP, features heavy guitar riffs which are prominent throughout and complemented perfectly by Stephanie’s raw and raspy vocal style and punchy lyrics.
The accompanying video’s paired down nature allows the bands music talent to shine through, its minimalist nature allows the track to become the real star of the show, while the bright, bold colours used throughout provide a perfect, artistic contrast to the dark and edgy lyrical tone Sunlust are renown for.
They may still be relatively new to the rock scene but there is no doubt they will go on to big things and will be definitely raising the roof on the live scene once they are able to return to the stage once more.
