She writes intimate freak folk songs blended with a faded punk flavouring and toured the world, played Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, India nad the US and performed at SXSW Festival. She’s a promise that recently released her latest single, ‘Confident’, “because I needed a reminder that perfection isn’t real and that it’s ok to mess up.” So we felt compelled to talk to Her Skin about when and what she listen to on the daily!
Where do you find new music?
I mainly find new music from the advice of my friends! I’m really lucky, they have the best taste in music.
What is your favourite place to listen and write music?
I love listening to music when I’m driving or walking or if I’m on a train, but I can only write music when I’m alone, so either at home or if I’m traveling somewhere and I can have my own room.
What activity are you unable to do without music?
Driving for sure, but also studying, reading, concentrating and relaxing in general. If I’m home I absolutely need to have something playing in the background or I get immediately anxious.
What are your favourite things to do besides music?
I like reading, playing video games, going to the cinema and roller skating!
What are currently your ten favourite songs by emerging artists?
Billie Marten – Vanilla Baby
Boyo – Lose My Ming
Joni – Botanical baby
Matt Maltese – Rom-Com

Shame – Concrete
Alex G – Change
