Maxïmo Park have released a new shimmering and exciting pop rock track, ‘Great Art’ is the band’s latest, and comes with a simple yet effective visualiser. It isn’t often I get to be hooked by moving graphics, but here we are, and it is most of all thanks to the band’s infectious sound. Their sound is a grounding mix of warm vocals, soft guitar riffs and thumping drums, all folded into a mesmerising new indie pop track!
‘Great Art’ is the first single released after the band’s previously released album ‘Natura Always Wins’, which peaked at #2 in the Official UK Albums Chart. They are the ones that introduced us to the modern era of indie pop, talking about topics close to their hearts, wrapped in catchy soundscapes, driven by exciting compositions! ‘Great Art’ distils the frustrations felt by over a decade of right-wing rule in the UK that has decimated communities and international relations, and notably the world of the arts.
The band are, aside from the announcement of their new single, also announcing a very special UK tour which will set off in September!
