Minna Ora, the Finnish alternative-folk performer, is back with the release of her new single, ‘Wind’. The new release is a continuation of her musical journey, and with it, she takes it up a notch, raising the level of intensity she displayed on her last single, ‘Fire’.
Unconstrained and inventive, ‘Wind’ starts off on the right foot by producing a chilling laugh that is followed by an unconventional yet exhilarating percussion movement and an acoustic guitar strum. Minna also adds some harmonies on top of the prelude, and then she breaks out into an insightful and thought-provoking stanza.
In a relatively short amount of time, Minna brings up the most important aspects of her message. She confers on life and the many directions one might go during their lifetime while also examining the concept that one’s path has already been written and that it is entirely up to fate to follow it. The music picks up in the refrain, with an alternative rock edge coming to life, as well as powerful strikes from the guitars, bass, and drums.
The track’s intensity steadily rises throughout, and it reaches its pinnacle in the middle, when all of the sounds come together in stunning unison. In addition, Minna further solidifies her insightful story, leaving room for contemplation as she delves into a topic very close to her heart.
