New Friends introduce their new single in a decisive manner, with soaring vocals and a grand, thumping soundscape that supports the sultry vocals singing the story of ‘Ricochet’ to us. The Ontario-based indie pop band are back with the third single taken from their upcoming EP, ‘Camaro’. Their latest is an honest and vulnerable chapter centring around the experience of surrendering to the control of a past lover.
Its chorus is driven by chanting and memorable vocal harmonies, the song driven by an upbeat soundscape and bright guitar layers that juxtapose its bittersweet narrative. For the video the band worked with videographer Connor Scheffler, together they produced a video inspired by a vintage car commercial from the 80’s. Watch and listen below!
