Nadia Kadek – Always Almost Losing You

Nadia Kadek‘s debut EP ‘Green Car’ is due for release this month and ‘Always Almost Losing You’ is the stunning teaser of what is to come and what will have us all inevitably hooked to her wandering dream pop sound.

Her subtle and personable sound is reflective and undeniably soothing, through her warm voice and colourful guitar strumming she elaborates on the inspiration behind ‘Always Almost Losing You’. The twenty-two-year-old British-Indonesian artist is based in London and grew up in rural Norfolk, digging from a layered past, she brings songs that tell hauntingly intimate stories that are refined yet relatable. She explores universal themes through her music, talking about grief, growth, forgiveness and working through the motions, which in turn helps us explore those themes.

She’s created a sound filled with depth, emotional honesty at its forefront, allowing us to be equally vulnerable. Kadek favours meaningful lyrics and genuine connection of algorithm-driven content which is what we hear as she opens up and allows us into her world on songs such as her latest, as well as previously released singles ‘Feeling It All’, and ‘Lemonade’. Her open-hearted indie dream folk speaks to the soul and is something we could listen to to no end.
